At Restaurant Atelier, we offer a contemporary world cuisine focused on Swiss and regional products. Craftsmanship is key, as everything is homemade, ensuring a unique, authentic dining experience. Guests can customize their menu from the Atelier’s menu workshop, creating a personalized culinary experience.

One of the specialties is the "veal chop" from the Arlesheim butcher Jenzer, served with roasted potatoes and a wild pepper jus – a classic that’s rarely found in Basel. The wine list at Atelier features around 400 selections, with a focus on European wines.

The philosophy is: chefs and service at the forefront! The restaurant doesn’t offer "experiential gastronomy" but rather a simple, lively atmosphere, much like that of a typical atelier.

The restaurant also includes a small bar for relaxation and a beautiful, peaceful courtyard for the summer months.

Restaurant Atelier attracts a wide urban audience and is perfect for business meals, celebrations of all kinds, and offers delicious lunch menus. It is positioned in the mid-price range.

Opening Hours

Restaurant Atelier is open daily.

Please note our service times for food: Hot dishes are served from 12:00 – 13:30 and from 18:00 – 21:30 (last order). The restaurant closes around 24:00.

Restaurant Atelier will be closed on the evening of December 23rd and all day on December 24th, 25th, and 26th.
